 | In the months since CHA’s Winter Convention there have been many developments in the understanding of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and its impact on the Craft and Hobby Industry. CHA has diligently tracked these updates through it’s CPSIA Taskforce and has hired leading law firm Locker, Greenberg & Brainin, P.C. to represent CHA in matters involving the CPSC.
Now, Rick Locker is here to answer the questions members submitted to CHA, including:
- Testing: Is testing required to be done on each individual Sku, and on individual kit components?
- General Certificate of Conformity (GCC): If products are not marketed to children under 12, are GCC’s required? For imports, are Certificates supplied by the Manufacturer or the Importer?
- Exemptions: How do I know if my product is exempt?
- Inventory: Can products in inventory prior to 2/2009 that do contain phthalates still be sold? And more!
